UTEN@Austin Confidentiality Agreement Policy
January 29, 2009

The UTEN@Austin program values entrepreneurial activity and the ability to move quickly to engage the market. Because the signing of confidentiality agreements creates significant delays in engaging the market, and because all UTEN@Austin efforts work strictly with public, non-confidential information, UTEN@Austin has adopted these policies:

1. UTEN@Austin does not accept confidential information during our training efforts.

2. UTEN@Austin does not sign confidentiality agreements or permit UTEN@Austin contractors to sign agreements when working on behalf of UTEN@Austin.

Our policies do not prohibit the following, as long as UTEN@Austin staff and contractors are not required to handle confidential information:

1. The facilitation by UTEN staff or contractors of Confidentiality agreements between Portuguese organizations and potential collaborators.
