Our Tools

UTEN uses these tools during its training efforts.

MarketLook

A MarketLook is a 40-60 hour market analysis. The MarketLook process focuses on securing interviews in the technology's potential markets. Eight to twelve interviews are conducted with potential customers, end users and partners, and also with technology validators. The result is an early understanding of the "Voice of the Market" and early suggestions for go-to-market strategies.

Technology Screen (RapidScreen)

RapidScreen is a 4-8 hour early commercialization assessment supported by an online web database. RapidScreen faciltates the screening interview and rating process and maintains an assessment history for the duration of the training effort. Early commercialization assessment includes ratings in these categories: Inventor Support, Institutional Support, Development Status, Intellectual Property, Ownership, Market Size, and Market Pain (relevance to market needs). RapidScreen also generates a web page with a general description for technology promotion.
